San Platinum is a
Shanghai-based company, specialized in circular knitting engineering, digital
design, and manufacturing integration. They provide an end-to-end solution for
global apparel manufacturers and brands, from design and prototyping to
production implementation and digital twins.
San Platinum needed an
identity that could represent the full range of what they do: a brand that felt
unmistakably digital, while staying rooted in their deep expertise in circular
knitting technology. The challenge was finding a single visual language that
could hold both sides of their business with equal authenticity.
We began with a graphic exploration of San Platinum's core
technologies: circular knitting on one side, and fabric digitalization and
digital twins on the other. From this exploration, the identity took shape
around a simple idea: making the invisible bridge between manufacturing and
digital innovation visible.
That idea became a symbol built from two layers: a structure
inspired by knitting notations, representing the construction of a knitted
textile, and a pixelated form representing the digital side of San Platinum's
work. The symbol is paired with a bold, futuristic sans-serif typeface that
reinforces the brand's technology-driven character.
The identity is completed by a carefully selected color palette and a deconstructed pixelated pattern, applied consistently across brand touchpoints to give San Platinum a cohesive, recognizable presence in every application.
The result is a modern, distinctive brand that speaks directly
to San Platinum's audience of apparel and manufacturing clients, combining a
technology-forward look with the credibility of real, specialized expertise.
